DELHI- SSB CELEBRATED TEEJ -: The Festival of Swings

New Delhi (29 Aug 2018) :- In the gracious presence of Smt. Gita Mishra , President Sandiksha  sawan Teej Indian cultural festival was celebrated with great fervor at SSB’s 25th.Battalion Ghitorini. The programme was organized by SSB Wives’ Welfare Association (SWWA) Sandiksha.
The amiable evening of Teej festival formally started by lighting of lamp by Smt. Gita Mishra,President Sandiksha. While speaking on the occasion President Sandiksha stated that festival and festivities bring splash of colours in the lives of people. All the festivals which are celebrated in India float a message of love, compassion and unity among the masses by inculcating human values. These festivals motivate and glue together families and society. Festivals are live representation of our sentiments and traditional values. We like to celebrate them again and again because their vibrant colours fill our lives with new zeal and zest.
President Sandiksha expressed her happiness that this Teej festival is being organized by Sandiksha SSB Wives’ welfare Association which is a forum to provide a social platform to the families of SSB personnel, where they can share their talent and creativity with whole of the SSB family
A colorful programme with Indian dances on Kazari, Ghoomer dance along with a group song from 25th.Bn.were performed. Ladies in green sarees wearing colourful bangles with Mehndi on their hands performed Cat-walk also to celebrate Teej.
Prizes and momentos were distributed by Smt Gita Mishra to the winners of Mehndi and Rangoli competition .The Winner of crown of Mrs. Teej Competition 2018 was Smt. Kushum Mehar, W/o SI/Min Bhupender, 25th Bn Ghitorini IMG_7645.JPGIMG_7682.JPG
